Our Process

How a Diamond Bar job runs, step by step: the call, the written quote, the work and the test — and the cheaper option named when there is one.

Drain Cleaning in Diamond Bar
Sequence

Four steps, start to finish

A straight answer about the bottle, and the free methods tried before the machine.

Call, and tell us two things

Which fixtures are affected, and what has already gone down the drain. The first settles branch or main in about thirty seconds.

The cheap answers first

If it is one slow fixture and nothing has been poured down it, we will tell you what to try before we come out — a plunger with the overflow blocked, or a hand snake past the trap.

Establish the pipe before the method

Clay, cast iron, ABS or PVC, and roughly how old.

Clear it, then say what caused it

A blockage cleared without a cause explained is a blockage you will pay for again.

Before you pour anything

Four things to try, and one to put back on the shelf

Three of these are free, and between them they clear most household blockages without anybody being called out.

A plunger, used properly

Block the overflow so the pressure goes down the pipe instead of out of the hole, get a real seal, and push rather than pull.

A hand snake, for hair

About twenty dollars. It reaches the trap and the first few feet beyond it, which is where the commonest bathroom blockage in any house actually sits.

Very hot tap water and dish soap, for…

This is what the 'does Dawn really work' question is asking, and on a kitchen line the answer is a qualified yes — grease is the one thing it genuinely shifts.

Not the caustic bottle

It is sulfuric acid or sodium hydroxide, the reaction makes heat, and heat inside a closed pipe softens PVC and the joints holding it together.

Availability

The first real rain finds every joint the roots got into

Worth knowing, because the busiest week of the year is entirely predictable.

Roots grow through the warm months into any joint that has moved, and a lateral can run at half capacity for a long time without anybody noticing. Then the first sustained rain of the season arrives, groundwater raises the load on the line, and a drain that had been merely slow stops altogether — across a whole neighborhood in the same week.

Which makes the cheap version of this problem a scheduled one. If a drain was slow last winter and slow again this spring, it is telling you what will happen in November. Dealing with it in standard hours in September costs a fraction of dealing with it at nine on a wet Sunday night, and it is the same work.

  • Told on the phone whether this genuinely needs today
  • Free methods explained before a visit is booked
  • Chemicals already used declared before the trap is opened
  • A camera offered where a drain has blocked more than once
